David Carry wins Gold for Scotland
in the 400m Freestyle Final.
David Carry of Scotland has won the 400m Freestyle Final in a personal best time of 3:48.17, winning the second swimming gold for his country in the first night of swimming.
Canadian Andrew Hurd picked up the silver in 3:49.08 and David Davies from Wales came third.
Australian Craig Stevens missed out on a medal and was trailing the leaders the entire race. Stevens said after the race that he is now concentrating on the 1,500m.
Stevens said, "It was a great to hear the crowd - an absolute buzz."
Earlier this evening fellow Scot Caitlin McClatchey out swum Australian Libby Lenton in the Women's 200m Freestyle Final, setting a new Games record.
