Danni Miatke celebrates her gold
medal win in the 50m Butterfly.
Australian women are swimming away with the medals, claiming gold, silver and bronze in the 50m Butterfly and the 50m Breaststroke.
Danni Miatke produced a Commonwealth Games record of 26.43 in a gold medal winning performance in the 50m Butterfly Final.
Team mates Jessicah Schipper and Alice Mills took silver and bronze respectively, with Mills tying with South Africa's Lize-Mari Retief.
The crowd's cheering spurred the girls onto their medals wins with Danni saying the crowd was awesome.
"This is just awesome," Miatke said.
"I really just tried to focus on my race and the process I needed to follow and I guess it paid off in the end."
The 50m Breaststroke was an all-Australian finish with Leisel Jones winning in 30.55, Jade Edmiston came second with 30.84 and Tarnee White swam a time of 31.26 to take the bronze.
