after a close win in the Men's
Double Trap final.
India's Commonwealth Games record holder, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, held off a determined challenge by 20-year-old South African, Byron Swanton, to win gold in the Men's Double Trap event.
The Indian shooter finished with a score of 181 targets from a possible 200, narrowly missing his Manchester gold-medal result of 191.
Swanton came from seven targets behind the leader after the qualifying round, to take the silver medal with 180 targets after missing only four in the final round.
It was a proud moment for Swanton's coach and father Tim, with the family already celebrating daughter Diane's gold medal in the Women's Trap event. This is the pair's first Commonwealth Games.
Malta's William Chetcuti, 21, took the bronze medal, shooting 179 targets. He also won bronze in the Men's Double Trap at Manchester in 2002.
Australia's Russell Mark was one target behind Chetcuti, finishing fourth.
